Character Trait Resource
Character traits are INSIDE traits. You could think of them as parts of the character's CHARACTER or PERSONALITY.
WARNING: Before you choose a character trait to label the character, be sure to ask yourself the following questions.
1. Do you know what the trait means?
2. Are there any connotations (positive or negative feelings that are associated with the word) that you need to consider? (example: "crafty" has a positive connotation whereas "sly" has a negative connotation)
3. Can you prove this trait with at least 3 examples from the text of things that the character SAID or DID that displays the trait? If you cannot, this might not be the best trait to use to describe the character.
